Darkness is my domain, my cell, my freedom
Here I no longer care how others perceive me
The black fabric enfolds around me
Encompassing body, mind, soul and heart
Here I can be myself, actions take over
The old me is gone, left whimpering in the cold
The new me takes over, the one who is bold
She mocks at the weak one, how stupid you are
Only cold hearted people survive in this world
The old holds all the emotions, but the new doesn't care
She just wants to have fun, no consequences
It's just during the darkest hours, what harm can be done
The two sides of me never see eye to eye
That's why they're kept separate, or risk saying goodbye
Why choose one, when both can be enjoyed
Always judge the situation, pick who gets to play
This round of her life, at this present time
One is for darkness, one is for light
And I feel the darkness taking over
Stealing me away into the night
