Raven And The Wolf
The raven sits upon my palm
Chatting with me deeply
How smart he is, a clever bird
His thoughts entwine my own
The wolf paces behind my back
Soft fur brushing my bare legs
How primal he is, a lustful dog
His thoughts entwine my own
Each have their purpose
Each have their gain
The choice is now mine
Which one will remain
Both are wanted
Both are needed
Together they conflict
Together is not right
The raven and the wolf
What a sordid pair
If I try to keep them both
How will my sanity fare?
